Pre-heat oven to 180°C / 160° fan forced. Grease a 4.5 cm deep, 20 cm round cake pan. Cover the base and sides with baking paper.

INGREDIENTS: Vanilla Extract, Milk, Butter, Granny Smith Apples, Self Raising Flour, Caster Sugar, Egg, Grounded Cinnamon.

TOOLS: Weighs, Sift, Bowl, Pan, Measuring Cups, Baking paper, Measuring spoons, Wooden spoon, Towel, Mittens, Apple cutter, knife. (those last 6 things weren't in photo)

Weigh, Measure and Cut all the ingredients.

Sift the flour.

Use Electric Mixer and mix the butter, sugar, egg and vanilla extract together. Mix for 2 mins or until combined

Stir half the flour and half the milk. Repeat with the remaining milk and flour.

Pour mixture into pan.

Place sliced apple pieces on top. Place in oven for 25-30 minutes

While your waiting wash your dirty dishes and clean up.

When you have checked your cake with a skewer, and it's ready, take it out and turn it top side up onto a wire rack. Brush hot cake with melted butter.

Finish off by sprinkling your cake with grounded cinnamon.

Cut your cake and enjoy it with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
